Celebrating over 125 Years of Serving the Haight
125th Anniversary - Events
Please join us on Thursday, May 16th at 6:30pm in the Ignatian Spiritual Life Center for the final lecture in our 125th Anniversary Speaker Series. Fr. Stephen Privett, S.J., President Emeritus of the University of San Francisco, will be talking on "Eloquentia Perfecta and Public Discourse Today". In this era of overheated rhetoric and zinging tweets, the Jesuit tradition of eloquentia perfecta can contribute to restoring civility, morality and character to public discourse. The early Jesuits drew from the Renaissance rediscovery of classical literature in formulating their educational philosophy. We still have much to learn from those authors of antiquity as we learn to dialogue with each other today. For this event please go to the 125th Anniversary Web Site at: saintagnessf125.com
